Somatic EMDR & Parts Work Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a gentle, scientifically-backed approach that helps your brain naturally process and integrate difficult experiences. Rather than reliving trauma, EMDR allows stuck emotions and memories to move through your system, reducing their emotional charge and physical impact on your body.

In Parts Work, we recognize that We all have different "parts" of ourselves—the anxious part, the perfectionist part, the inner critic, the wise part. Parts work and IFS (Internal Family Systems) helps you develop a compassionate relationship with these aspects of yourself, understanding what they're trying to protect and helping them work together rather than against each other.

Eliza had a traumatic pregnancy and early birth of her daughter, resulting in an emergency c-section, emergency hysterectomy, and full-body blood transfusion. She nearly lost her life.

The after-effects were nothing short of terrible, leaving Eliza feeling disconnected from her body as she began to struggle with postpartum anxiety and depression. From the depths of despair, she decided to do something she had always wanted to do but never had the time for—get her yoga certification.

Within weeks of practicing yoga daily, she began to feel more embodied and regulated. Taking stock of the transformation, she decided to keep learning. More certifications, workshops, and retreats followed, and it became clear that somatics was where she was headed. In becoming embodied and understanding how the nervous system works, her anxiety and depression lifted. She was able to come off her medications and return to herself.

Now, Eliza is committed to helping other people who are struggling. Whether it’s a big “T” or little “t” trauma, something you’d like to explore, or something you’re not even consciously aware you’ve been holding—everyone can benefit from this profound work.
